I’m in a sexless marriage. Or am I?

You may not know for sure until you ask yourself the right questions. Some spouses go through dry marriage periods in times of great stress or after having a child but rekindle the fire shortly after. Others suffer through an unhappy sexless marriage for years and abandon any hope of getting that spark back.

Leaving a sexless marriage might seem like a shallow move to some people, but it’s almost never solely about the lack of sex. A lot of times, dry periods are a symptom that something is wrong with the emotions or health of the partner. Lack of communication about the issues or actions taken to mitigate them leads to a lack of intimacy and, consequently, sex.
